FAQ

What type of services do you offer?
We have two unique worship styles at the Chapel, but we are one grateful family! Our worship services are ordered in such a way that the Gospel story is proclaimed anew each week through elements of the Word and sacrament, creed and confession, prayer and song, with each service having its distinctive way of doing so. Each service is one hour long. We invite you to join us and find the service that fits you best!

Our 9 am service features traditional hymns and we have a Chancel Choir.
Our 11:15 am service features contemporary music led by the Amelia Chapel Praise Team.
What is your Statement of Beliefs?
Our Statement of Beliefs may be found HERE!
Do you offer Holy Communion?
Holy Communion is offered the first Sunday of every month at our 9 am service and every Sunday at our 11:15 am service.
What does it mean to be an "interdenominational community chapel”?
Defining Interdenominational
Amelia Plantation Chapel is an interdenominational church of many traditions, yet a family of one in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. As Believers, we are brothers and sisters in Christ and together we comprise His church, the household of God. We may not have it all together but together in Christ we have it all. Our worship services reflect the diverse faith backgrounds of our congregation. In fact, your spiritual journey will be well respected at Amelia Plantation Chapel as we believe “In Essentials, Unity; in Non-essentials, Liberty; In all things, Love.”

Defining Community
When we say that Amelia Plantation Chapel is a community church it is to recognize that our church family consists of people who are worshiping, fellowshipping and serving together under the Lordship of Christ in order to bless our island community, our nation, and even the world - and it's absolutely wonderful! We believe this Spirit-filled approach provides a greater outreach for Christ’s church into the community as our congregational generosity of fellowship produces Kingdom fruit where we triple-tithe 30% of our budget to Gospel causes beyond the walls of our church.

Defining Chapel
We are a diverse church congregation, united by our faith in Jesus Christ, committed to worship the living God, and to study the Word, so that we may witness and serve in our community. We embrace all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God and that Jesus alone is the Savior of the world as fellow Christians. Most importantly, The Word of God is the supreme authority of our church family and we love the Holy Triune God of the Bible because He first loved us. In this light, Glorifying God and enjoying Him forever is the guiding light of our chapel worship services. We celebrate in our beautiful sanctuary with joy the liturgical seasons of the church year as a way to further disciple all in a deeper understanding of the classic Christian faith.

Moreover, our Chapel is not just a place of great people but it is also a great place! God has blessed us with wonderful facilities that not only serve members and guests but the island community as a whole. Also, the moment you drive up to the Chapel, you will realize our commitment to the natural spaces of God’s creation. The campus is landscaped in beauty adjacent to Red Maple Lake, so take a seat on the outside benches to rest and meditate on the goodness of our Heavenly Father.

Again, we do not claim that we have it all together but together in Christ we have it all. Please feel invited and welcomed to attend and participate in our “Christ-Centered, Bible-Based, and Ministry-Focused” chapel family.
